Description
This is a two-piece covered dish manufactured by the Westmoreland Glass Company. The item is made of opaque white milk glass and features a lid molded in the shape of a sitting hen. The hen displays molded feather details and has cold-painted red enamel accents on the comb and wattle. The base is footed and designed with a basketweave pattern, including two twisted rope-style handles and a flared, scalloped rim.
Condition report:
The item is in good vintage condition. There is visible surface grime and light brown residue within the crevices of the basketweave pattern and on the lid. The red painted accents on the hen show minor wear but remain largely intact. No chips, cracks, or repairs are visible in the provided images.
