6.27.26 HEN ON NEST - ONE OWNER COLLECTION
Lot 276:
Description
This two-piece covered dish is crafted in translucent amber pressed glass. The item is designed in the form of a hen resting on a basket-weave nest. The lid features a detailed molded hen with textured feathering throughout the body, wings, and tail. The head of the hen is rendered with a distinct comb and beak. The matching base features a raised basketweave pattern around the exterior and a scalloped upper rim that secures the lid. Visible mold seams are present on both pieces, characteristic of the manufacturing process.
Condition report:
The item is in good vintage condition. No chips, cracks, or significant surface scratches are visible. Minor manufacturing marks, such as mold release lines and faint cooling marks inherent to pressed glass, are present. There is light shelf wear consistent with age on the underside of the base.
