Description
This two-piece covered dish is manufactured by the Indiana Glass Company in a translucent pink pressed glass. The lid is molded in the form of a nesting hen, featuring detailed feathering across the body and tail with a defined comb and wattle. The base exhibits a textured wavy line pattern resembling a basket weave on the exterior and is finished with a beaded rim. An embossed circular mark reading INDIANA GLASS CO is visible on the interior center of the lid.
Condition report:
The piece appears to be in excellent condition with no visible chips, cracks, or significant surface wear. Mold seams are present on the hen lid and the base, which are inherent to the manufacturing process of pressed glass.
