Description
This specimen is a large, professionally tanned cowhide (Bos taurus) displaying a prominent dark brindle pattern. The hide features a variegated coat of deep chocolate brown and black streaks and swirls, accented by contrasting white markings along the natural perimeter corresponding to the belly and leg areas. The specimen has been processed to a supple and flexible state, suitable for use as a floor rug or decorative wall hanging. It retains its natural irregular animal shape. No maker’s marks, tannery stamps, or labels are visible on the specimen.
Dimensions: Approximately 6 to 8 feet at the widest point.
Condition report:
The hide appears to be in good condition. The hair is thick and well-retained across the surface with no evidence of slipping or significant hair loss. The leather backing appears soft and flexible. No large tears, holes, or previous repairs are visible from the provided images.
