Description
This is a limited edition offset lithograph after an original watercolor by American wildlife artist Allen Hughes. The artwork depicts five Northern Pintail ducks in a marshland setting, with four shown in flight and a fifth splashing into the water in the foreground. The composition is set against a backdrop of autumnal trees and a weathered snag under a cloudy sky. The print is hand-signed in pencil by the artist at the lower left and is numbered 313 / 950 in the same area. A secondary signature is present within the plate at the lower left. The piece is professionally housed in a multi-layered tan and brown mat within a dark, molded wood frame.
Condition report:
The print appears to be in good condition with no visible foxing, fading, or moisture damage under the glass. The wooden frame shows minor surface scuffs and light wear consistent with age and handling. The paper dust cover on the reverse is torn and punctured in several places along the bottom edge.
