Description

This lot features a diverse collection of vintage and modern ammunition along with assorted spent brass casings, primarily housed in a vintage King Edward Imperial cigar box. The collection includes a large clear plastic bag containing over 100 rounds of .22 caliber rimfire ammunition and a small brown cardboard box holding 12 additional .22 caliber cartridges. Two partial vintage boxes for Western Super-X ammunition are present, with the most complete box labeled .22 LONG 50 RIM FIRE CARTRIDGES. A small black hinged box contains 28 spent brass casings with a variety of notable headstamps transcribed verbatim: W.R.A. CO. .38 S & W SPECIAL, U.S.C. CO. .38 S. & W. SPL, WESTERN .38 SPL, PETERS .38 S&W SPL, and REM-UMC .38 S&W SPL. The King Edward Imperial cigar box also contains approximately 20 loose spent casings of varying calibers, including bottlenecked rifle rounds and two metal five-round stripper clips. Markings on the primary cigar box include KING EDWARD IMPERIAL, AMERICA’S MILDEST CIGAR, and SWISHER PRODUCT.

Condition report:

The ammunition and casings are in mixed condition. The brass components exhibit varying degrees of tarnish, surface oxidation, and verdigris consistent with age and storage. The vintage cardboard packaging, including the Western Super-X boxes and the cigar box, shows significant shelf wear, staining, edge fraying, and minor tearing. The cigar box is structurally intact but shows typical age-related discoloration. The ammunition has not been tested for functionality and is sold as a collectible item for display or component salvage.
