Description
A collection of various elephant-themed holiday ornaments and decorative figurines in mixed media. The group features several bisque porcelain circus-themed elephants, including two marked with the year 1997 and one featuring the number 4 on its saddle, in the style of Precious Moments. One large, glitter-embellished blown glass elephant ornament retains its original retail tag reading Merck Family’s Old World Christmas. Also present are several spherical ornaments of lacquered or paper-mache construction, hand-painted with wildlife and geometric patterns including a tiger and a rhinoceros. The assortment is completed by a reclining gray porcelain figurine with a red ribbon, a small gold-toned composite elephant with a crown, a silver-toned metallic-finish elephant, and a dark-finished cast elephant.
Condition report:
Items appear in overall good vintage to contemporary condition. Some pieces show light surface wear and minor soiling consistent with age and previous display. No major chips, cracks, or structural damage noted upon visual inspection.
