Description
A collection of vintage decorative elephant figurines of varying sizes and styles, all rendered in glazed ceramic. The group includes one seated elephant with its trunk arched to form a loop, featuring a variegated cream and sienna brown glaze with hand-painted red eyes and black toenail details. Another figure depicts a standing elephant with its trunk raised, finished in a tonal tan and brown glaze. The collection is completed by a matching pair of walking elephant figurines in a uniform pale yellow glaze. This pair is designed with open-top compartments on the backs, characteristic of small planters or vanity containers. No manufacturer marks, stamps, or model numbers are visible on the pieces.
Condition report:
The standing tan elephant shows a loss to the left tusk; the right tusk is present. The pair of yellow elephants exhibits fine glaze crazing throughout and visible surface staining, particularly on the hindquarters. The seated elephant is in good overall condition. All items show minor shelf wear and light surface marks consistent with age and previous display.
