Description
A trio of vintage glazed ceramic pig-themed novelty items, comprising a central coin bank and two auxiliary holders. The central bank is modeled as a smiling pig wearing pink suspenders, featuring a hand-painted cursive inscription reading For my Mink on the belly. The bank includes a coin slot at the crown of the head. One smaller figure depicts a pig in red overalls standing alongside a blue tree-stump-form holder, and the other shows a pig in blue overalls and a hat next to a yellow ear-of-corn-form holder. The collection is characterized by high-gloss glazes and hand-painted facial features, executed in the style of mid-century American potteries such as Royal Copley.
Condition report:
The central coin bank shows a prominent chip and area of glaze loss on the reverse near the coin slot. All three pieces exhibit minor paint loss, scattered surface scuffs, and generalized crazing to the glaze consistent with age and handling.
