Description
This collectible metal advertising sign was produced for the Goodguys Rod & Custom Association 16th Nationals held in Columbus, Ohio, in 2013. The sign is constructed from a light-gauge metal, likely tin or steel, and features a printed graphic design. The illustration depicts two custom vehicles: a black vintage hot rod in the style of a 1932 Ford Tudor Sedan and an orange fastback muscle car. The muscle car features the text PRODUCER on the rear quarter panel, identifying it as a customized 1965 Ford Mustang. Both cars are accented with orange and yellow flame motifs against an off-white background with a printed faux-distressed finish. The text includes GOODGUYS in red and yellow stylized block letters, 16th NATIONALS 2013 in a metallic gradient, and Columbus, Ohio at the bottom. The sign includes four pre-drilled holes at the corners for mounting purposes.
Condition report:
The sign is in used condition with visible signs of age and wear. There is significant genuine rust and oxidation at all four corners, particularly around the mounting holes. Chipping is present along the edges of the metal, and minor surface abrasions and scratches are visible throughout the graphic area. Some of the weathered appearance is an intentional part of the printed design, while the corrosion at the corners is actual environmental wear.
