Description
This collection consists of several hundred football trading cards from 1991, primarily from the Upper Deck and NFL Pro Line Portraits sets. A featured item is a 1991 NFL Pro Line Portraits card of safety Thomas Everett of the Pittsburgh Steelers, which has been hand-signed by the player on the reverse in black ink. This card is housed in a clear plastic protective holder. The bulk of the collection is contained within a white cardboard storage box labeled 1991 U.D. Football and N/C in black marker. The cards in this box are 1991 Upper Deck football cards and include numerous rookie cards from the era, such as Todd Marinovich, Alvin Harper, Herman Moore, Dan McGwire, Browning Nagle, Stanley Richard, Mike Croel, Bruce Pickens, Nick Bell, and Harvey Williams. Several Aerial Threats insert cards are also visible within the lot. The cards feature standard glossy finishes and photography typical of the early 1990s production period.
Condition report:
The Thomas Everett card appears to be in Excellent to Near-Mint condition with sharp corners and clean edges visible through the holder; the signature is clear but has not been third-party authenticated. The bulk Upper Deck cards appear to be in Excellent to Near-Mint condition, exhibiting sharp corners and generally clean edges with centering consistent with factory production. The cardboard storage box shows significant foxing and brown staining on the top and sides, along with handwritten notations in ink.
