Description
A pair of cast metal figurines, likely cast iron, modeled as walking elephants with trunks raised. The figurines feature a dark blue-gray painted finish over a textured, sand-cast surface. Each elephant is depicted in a stride with its trunk curled upwards. No maker’s marks or inscriptions are visible on either piece.
Condition report:
Both figurines show signs of age-appropriate wear. There are scattered chips and losses to the blue paint throughout, revealing the dark metal beneath. Minor surface oxidation is present, particularly on the trunks, ears, and undersides of the feet.
