Description
This vintage Berkley fishing set is contained within a brown textured plastic carrying case featuring a molded interior. The kit includes a Berkley No. 4201 spinning reel, which is identified by a red and white circular label with a heart logo and a secondary label marked Ball Bearing. The assortment also contains four spools wound with yellow fishing line, a translucent plastic tackle box with a Berkley Travel-Pack label, and a small plastic bag of assorted hardware. The fishing rod sections originally belonging to this kit are not present.
Condition report:
The exterior of the plastic case shows scuffing, surface scratches, and general wear consistent with age and use. The metal latches exhibit some surface oxidation. The interior components show minor signs of use and accumulated dust. The kit is incomplete as the fishing rod is missing. The mechanical functionality of the reel has not been tested.
