Description
This is a two-piece decorative lidded dish manufactured by the Mosser Glass Company. Married- top crown Tuscan and bottom iridescent pink basket. The dish consists of a base and a fitted lid. The base is molded with a vertical ribbed pattern designed to resemble a woven basket or nest. The lid is sculpted in the form of a seated hen, displaying detailed molded textures for the feathers on the body and tail, as well as distinct features on the head and comb. The interior of the lid contains an embossed maker mark consisting of a capital letter M inside a circle, with the Mosser company name partially visible below.
Condition report:
The piece is in excellent condition. There are no visible chips, cracks, or repairs to either the lid or the base. The iridescent finish remains bright and consistent across the entire item with no significant signs of wear.
