Description
An assortment of decorative ceramic vessels featuring varied production techniques and historical styles. The collection includes a stoneware vase with horizontal ridged bands and a two-tone glaze, matte brown on the body and glossy tan on the neck, attributed to the Weller Pottery Claywood pattern. Another item is an earthenware planter with hand-incised sgraffito decoration depicting figures in Classical Greek attire accompanied by Greek characters, bordered by Greek key meander patterns. Also included is a small polychrome enameled jar with hand-painted reserves showing figures in landscapes surrounded by dense millefleurs patterns, fitted with a turned wooden lid. The assortment further contains a hand-built studio pottery bowl with a lobed rim, featuring a cream-colored exterior glaze with dark brown accents and a pale green celadon-glazed interior.
Condition report:
The ridged vase is in good condition with no visible damage. The sgraffito planter shows minor surface wear and light abrasions consistent with age and use. The enameled jar ceramic body is intact, while the wooden lid displays minor surface scratches. The hand-built bowl exhibits surface crazing and minor interior staining.
