Description
This collection of vintage model railroad equipment features components from several notable manufacturers. Identification includes a Lionel die-cast metal steam-style locomotive marked with cab number 2037. Electrical components consist of a Lionel Multivolt transformer with a red control lever and an MRC Tech II Railpower 1400 Model Train Control in its original retail packaging. A black metal accessory is marked with the American Flyer brand and a Reading Lines diamond logo. The lot also contains an assortment of track consisting of brass rails on black plastic ties, along with a large quantity of specialized black plastic block-style track components. A vintage red cardboard Tyco box is included. The items are constructed from die-cast metal, plastic, and brass, with cardboard packaging.
Condition report:
The items are in used vintage condition. There is visible surface dust, grime, and wear on the locomotive, transformer, and accessories. The cardboard packaging for the MRC and Tyco items shows significant shelf wear, including edge damage, creasing, and small tears. The mechanical and electrical functionality of the locomotive and power controllers has not been tested.
