Description

This collection contains model train equipment from two different scales, primarily vintage Lionel O-gauge components and a large-scale boxcar. The O-gauge items feature a Lionel postwar silver Burlington Route GP-7 diesel locomotive, identified by road number 2328 and marked BUILT BY LIONEL. Additional O-gauge pieces include a black steam-style locomotive with a 2-4-2 wheel configuration, a black Norfolk and Western hopper car, and a red Reading railroad caboose. The lot includes a quantity of three-rail O-gauge track, a black plastic girder bridge component, a red bridge or trestle piece, and an operating track section with a red-button remote. The large-scale (G-scale) item is a yellow D. & R. G. R. W. boxcar, numbered 1872-3. It is constructed from plastic with metal wire details and functional sliding side doors. Smaller lettering on the side reads Capacity 20,000 and Wt. 12,000.

Condition report:

The items are in vintage, played-with condition and show significant surface dust and dirt accumulation throughout. The silver Burlington diesel locomotive has visible damage with breaks to the side steps and pilot skirt. Many of the O-gauge track sections show surface oxidation and rust. The mechanical and electrical functionality of the locomotives, track, and controllers has not been tested. The G-scale boxcar appears to be in generally good condition with light surface wear and dust.
