Description
This G-scale model train set is manufactured by Kalamazoo Toy Train Works and features a steam locomotive with a matching tender. The locomotive is a 4-4-0 configuration finished in black and red with gold-toned accents, bearing the number 11 on the cab sides. A decorative gold-toned medallion featuring the letter K is located on the side of the engine. The tender is finished in black with a red chassis and displays the gold-toned lettering D & R G W within a decorative border, representing the Denver & Rio Grande Western railroad. The models are primarily constructed of plastic with metal drive rods, wheels, and electrical pick-ups. The set includes its original manufacturer’s box with custom-fit Styrofoam protective inserts. Condition report:
The locomotive and tender appear to be in excellent condition, showing minimal to no signs of use. The paint is vibrant and all lettering remains crisp and clear. There are no visible chips, cracks, or missing components. The electric mechanism is untested. The original box remains structurally sound with only minor shelf wear to the outer cardboard surfaces.
