Description
A Lionel Trains, Inc. model 6-12737 Operating Whistling Freight Shed accessory for O and O27 gauge model train layouts. The accessory is designed with an illuminated interior and a remotely controlled steam engine whistle sound. It is constructed of plastic with a red-colored shed, cream window trim, and a black roof, situated on a dark green multi-tiered base. The unit is contained in its original illustrated cardboard box. Markings on the box include the manufacturer name, model number, and a 1990 copyright date for Lionel Trains, Inc. of Mt. Clemens, Michigan. The packaging also features a Made in America label and a layout illustration on the underside. Model number 70-2737-200 and UPC 023922127372 are printed on the exterior.
Condition report:
The original packaging displays shelf wear consistent with age, including creasing, corner dings, and a small tear on the top edge of the front panel. A vintage retail price sticker is affixed to the upper right corner. The interior accessory has not been tested for mechanical or electrical functionality.
