Description
This is a single-sided advertising sign for Texaco Marine Lubricants, featuring a design consistent with mid-20th-century Texaco branding. The sign is constructed from heavy-gauge metal with a high-gloss porcelain enamel finish. The layout consists of a white central section with green horizontal bands across the top and bottom.
The upper green band contains a series of white seagulls shown in various stages of flight. The lower green band depicts a variety of vessels, including a red speedboat marked Z-16, a motorboat named SUZANNE, a large yacht, a sailboat, and a motor vessel, positioned next to a red channel buoy numbered 6.
Centrally, the word TEXACO is rendered in an arched red font with black outlines. Below this, the words MARINE LUBRICANTS are printed in large black block letters. Two circular Texaco White-T star logos are located on the left and right sides. The sign is equipped with four grommet-reinforced mounting holes located at the corners. There are no visible manufacturer marks or date codes on the front or the plain white reverse side.

There are scattered light surface scuffs and minor factory imperfections in the enamel finish. The reverse side shows light surface scuffing and minor dark markings consistent with handling and storage.
