Description

A collection of three small pressed glass vessels crafted in caramel slag glass, an opaque marble glass also known as chocolate glass. Two of the vessels are footed toothpick holders featuring the Thistle pattern, characterized by a textured thistle motif on the lower body, vertical ribbing at the rim separated by a beaded band, and a six-point flared scalloped base. The third item is a cylindrical toothpick holder decorated with a geometric pressed pattern of faceted diamonds and stars, finished with a scalloped top rim. These pieces are highly consistent with the production of the Indiana Tumbler and Goblet Company of Greentown, Indiana, dating from approximately 1890 to 1903. The glass displays the varied swirled patterns of cream, amber, and deep caramel tones typical of slag glass production from this period. No manufacturer marks are present on the vessels.

Condition report:

The items are in good vintage condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs. Natural variation in color and marbling is present across the collection. Minor manufacturing irregularities common to antique pressed glass, such as faint shear marks or small internal bubbles, may be observed upon close inspection.
