Lot 365:
Description
A circular decorative advertising plaque for Texaco Fire-Chief Gasoline. The item is constructed of painted cast metal, featuring a heavy, textured orange peel surface finish on both the front and reverse. The right side features a graphic of a red firefighter helmet with a yellow and white front shield. The left side includes the circular Texaco logo consisting of a red five-pointed star with a green letter T. Two pre-drilled holes are located on the horizontal axis for mounting. This item is a contemporary decorative or commemorative piece, characterized by its cast construction rather than the porcelain enamel on steel found on original period pump plates.

Condition report:
The plaque is in good overall condition. Visible surface grime and minor rubbing are present along the outer edges. The paint application exhibits some irregularities and slight color bleeding consistent with cast metal novelty items. The reverse shows minor surface scratches and scattered dirt.
