Description
Longaberger 2001 Holiday Hostess Snowy Star Basket. This hand-woven wood splint basket is designed in a five-pointed star form with a natural finish. The body features two horizontal woven accent bands in maroon and olive green. The upper and lower rims are reinforced with double wood strips and secured with small metal tacks. The solid wood base is stamped on the underside with LONGABERGER BASKETS HANDWOVEN DRESDEN, OHIO USA. The base also bears the handwritten initials TCS and the date 2001. Included with the basket is a form-fitting clear plastic liner and a printed paper insert identifying the piece as the 2001 Holiday Hostess Snowy Star Basket.
Condition report:
The basket is in very good condition with no visible breaks, splits, or missing wood splints. The natural wood finish and colored accent bands are well-preserved. The clear plastic liner is intact without cracks or significant scuffing. The paper insert shows minor handling wear consistent with storage.
