Description
This lot features a two-piece covered dish in the form of a hen on a nest, crafted from opaque light green glass. The lid is molded into the shape of a nesting hen, showing detailed feathering across the wings and tail, with a distinct comb and beak. The base is an oval bowl featuring a basket-weave textured exterior and a finished rim with a continuous row of molded beads. The glass displays a uniform, vibrant green color throughout. No manufacturer marks or signatures are visible on the interior or exterior of either piece. This style of dish is a classic example of mid-20th century American pressed glass, produced by various companies including Westmoreland, Fenton, and Boyd.
