5.28.26 MAY ANTIQUE & GLASS AUCTION
Lot 186:
Description
A trio of vintage wooden kitchenware items consisting of two turned bowls and one rolling pin. The bowls are produced from solid wood in varying tones; one bowl features a warm, honey-colored wood with an active grain, and the other is a lighter-toned wood with more regular graining. Both bowls show traditional turned construction with tapered sides and rounded rims. The rolling pin has a natural wood cylinder and two turned handles finished in a dark green paint. While the green-handled rolling pin is characteristic of mid-20th century production from makers like Munising, and the bowls resemble the work of Holland Bowl Mill, no stamps or markings are visible on any of the items in this lot.
Condition report:
All items show signs of age and previous utilitarian use. The bowls have surface wear, minor staining, and a dark patina along the upper rims and interiors. The rolling pin handles have significant paint loss and chipping, while the main body shows scattered surface scuffs and minor discoloration.
