Description
A group of two pieces of Mid-Century Modern glassware. The first item is a clear glass carafe decorated with gold-toned atomic starbursts and stylized line motifs. It is fitted with a gold-toned metal collar and a long, curved handle. The carafe includes a black stopper with a cork base. A circular mark on the body reads PYREX BRAND GLASSWARE MADE IN U.S.A. FOR WESCO. The second item is an iridescent amber glass platter of circular form. It features a ruffled, scalloped rim and radial ribbing that emanates from a central molded starburst motif.
Condition report:
The carafe shows minor wear to the gold-toned finish and decals. The platter exhibits surface residue, small dark spots, and notable discoloration to the center. Both pieces show light age-appropriate wear.
