Description
This two-piece pressed glass covered dish is produced by Boyd’s Crystal Art Glass. The item is crafted from cobalt blue slag glass, characterized by marbleized white swirls throughout the translucent blue material. The lid is molded in the shape of a nesting hen with detailed plumage on the wings and body. The base exhibits a fluted basket-weave design on the exterior and a beaded rim along the upper edge. The interior center of the dish contains a molded maker’s mark consisting of the letter B within a diamond, with a horizontal line positioned both above and below the diamond.
Condition report:
The dish is in good overall condition with no visible chips, cracks, or restorations.
