Description
A diverse collection of novelty and decorative salt and pepper shakers in various styles and materials. The group features farmhouse-themed ceramic figurines including chickens, roosters, pigs, sheep, and cows. Also included are industrial and functional designs such as silver-tone metal milk cans, wooden barrels with wire bale handles, and wooden shotgun shells with metallic caps. The assortment contains small glass jars with metal bale closures and a pair of colorful handled tin canisters featuring polka dot patterns and illustrated pigs. Several pieces bear functional labels including salt, pepper, SALT, PEPPER, S, and P. While visually consistent with mid-century Japanese imports, no specific maker marks are clearly visible.
