Description
This two-piece pressed glass covered dish is fashioned in the classic form of a hen on a nest, rendered in a deep cobalt blue color. The lid is molded into the shape of a hen with detailed feathering throughout the body and tail. The base of the dish features a basketweave texture and a wide, flared rim with a scalloped edge. An embossed manufacturer mark is located on the interior of the lid at the base of the tail, featuring a capital letter M within a circular border, identifying the piece as a product of the Mosser Glass Company of Cambridge, Ohio.
Condition report:
The item is in good condition with no visible chips, cracks, or fractures. There is no evidence of repairs or significant surface wear.
